When I run Activity Monitor, sometimes the FirefoxCP Web Content is in the 80-90% range on CPU (or occasionally over 100%), but otherwise nothing seems to be taking up a lot of CPU. It was a little on the slow side before the upgrade, but it really ran pretty good before - But this is ridiculous.

I know my hard drive is old and my MacBook could probably benefit from an upgrade to an SSD. I really need to clean out my files, but it's still got 283.98 GB free in storage. I recently upgraded my MacBook Pro (13-inch, late 2011, 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5, 4 GB memory) to High Sierra (10.13.6), and now it's super sluggish, programs and apps take forever to open and then freeze or completely crash, and the battery is draining faster than usual.
